Amendments were made to the Strata Schemes Acts in mid 2000 mirroring the changes in the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, to allow strata plans to be signed by Accredited Certifiers.
Since that time the use of certifiers by the development industry is recognized as an efficient and timely means to obtain plan registration.
When linked to a Complying Development Certificate (where possible) costly delays in the issue of a Strata Certificate can be avoided.
Remember, the earliest possible issue of a Strata Certificate leads to early plan registration and early settlements.
